- 1989 Arrives in New York from Moscow with two goals: to study in America, and one day to play Carnegie Hall.
- 1993 American debut, playing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 27 with the Baltimore Symphony.
- 1998 Carnegie Hall debut on the thirteenth of May. Named a Steinway Artist that same spring.
- 2006 Awarded the Gusi Peace Prize, presented by the President of the Philippines.
- 2021 Completes her twentieth season at Carnegie Hall, on the twenty-seventh of December.

Born in Moscow, she began at six and studied under Professor Pavel Messner at the Moscow High School of Music, under the aegis of the Moscow Conservatory. A scholarship brought her straight into the graduate programme at the Mannes School of Music in New York.
She values the beauty of tone above all else, and plays with a suppleness and a natural approach to the keyboard.
